Snow---yes
We got a far amount of snow earlier in the week. Nothing amazing but it made walking around kinda shitty.
We’re suppose to get more on monday and tuesday. Hoping for some more and maybe get a snow day.
MD got hit hard I heard. If you got some photos point me towards them. Tomorrow I might throw some photos up of our apartment since me and Dave have been neigecting to do that.

If anyone else is harassed by people facebook chatting them, pidgin has a plugin you can get that lets it support facebook chat. Works really well, and it means you don’t have to use facebook chat. (I originally got into using pidgin to run my various chat things, when people started gmail chatting me, and so now that I am on facebook I figured it was worth investigating doing the same)

No idea, that was the first I had heard of it.
Anyone else hear that WoTC lost (“Decided not to renew”) the license for Star Wars RPG and Star Wars Minis?
My take is that a new company will pick it up, and we will get a really fleshed out original system. Instead of a Beta 4e DND, or a mod on their older systems, like both of the WoTC RPGs were.

I finally managed to convince him to go with a 14 in str, giving him a 16 after racial mods which will work I guess. He’s pretty set on longsword instead of hammer though since he wants to be more accurate… just not strong and accurate apparently…
Weapon expertise seems futile if he’s that intent on not having a +4 attack stat. I suggested toughness kind of stuff since...

I like paladin, bard, bow-ranger.
Paladin can tank and heal.
Bard can heal/buff and has some melee stuff.
Bow ranger has twin strike, and can deal good damage too.
Fighter isn’t bad instead of paladin, but a fighter can do one thing, and when down a few people some backup isn’t bad.
Also barbarians seem really easy to make good, if you are looking for other...

I’m DMing a bunch of first time players. Do you have suggestions for race/classes that are simple and fun? I imagine the class would be the biggest deal. I was originally thinking fighter, warlord, and ranger, but I’m worried the warlord player would be irritated by all the “your friend gets to attack” powers. Any suggestions?

I think Judy is bringing pie instead.
Shoot for 8-9 people, arrive at 7ish PM.
We have some pizzas, cheese and crackers.
Chinese food and salad is a pretty good start. Chips/Snack stuff is probably the remainder.
Also drinks are a good thing to bring, if you are thirsty.
Potluck
Should we to organize whose bringing what for dinner? I think Judy will bring Chinese, I could bring a salad.
I also have about half a bottle of Malibu, a nearly-full bottle of Parrot Bay passion fruit rum, and an unopened bottle of Smirnoff black cherry. I know those are all really frilly, but you’re welcome to them.
I like the idea of potluck, me and Aly will try to have a couple of pizzas there, and I should have some beer (like 15-20) so it will mostly be a byob affair.
Settled then. Your place in Frederick on the 31st. Do we want to get food, potluck, or eat before we get there?
I think I get fired if i drink with underaged kids, so I vote against that.

NYC for good
I just accepted an offer from R/GA to be full time staff, so it looks like I’ll be staying in NYC. I’m planning on moving to a better apartment when I do anyone and everyone is welcome to come up and visit.
